All Day Rice.

Dear Diary,

07 Feb 2014

I took half-day leave and did facial with Bestie Hajar. She went to Korea recently and guess what she bought me?! I'm a happy Princess now!! Thank you Hajar!

It was last year there was this 2 guys who came into my work place and sold off this voucher at $9.90. Well, this was one selling technique. My colleagues and I were so happy to see the voucher selling at a cheap price. And so we gave them $10 to buy their vouchers but no 10 cents were return back to us. They "made" us feel distracted by talking and laughing with us and so when they left, no one will realized that the 10 cents were not given back to us.

But they were wrong because I was smart to realize even when my colleagues did not. But I chose to keep quiet about it because I don't want to be a cheapo to ask for the 10 cents back. But can you imagine how much can they earn by not asking that 10 cents back by selling it off to my whole office building? I am SURE people gave them $10 instead of $9.90 to buy the voucher and I don't even think they carry so many change of 10 cents with them. RIGHT?!

So from the voucher, we could choose from 3 different services like Facial, 20 mins Massage as well as 1 time Slimming treatment and so I bought 2 vouchers. I decided to opt for facial and wanted to bring Adik along but she was too busy to take leave, so I decided to ask Bestie Hajar instead since the last time she brought me to a facial massage which was also under promotion.

The place is called BeyondBeauty and the people there were friendly. And one thing I believe that in order to make a customer to always want to return back to your place is to provide good services and treatment. And another selling technique they used, being pushy. Still, their pushy is not so bad since after I said no for two to three times, they decided not to push me anymore. But the person left me with a face that is full of disappointment, which is okay but she showed me this unhappy and a little bit of anger in her. I mean, come on, when I said no, I really mean no. If you can push me to say yes, I can push myself to say no as well.

Another selling technique, when she did a review on my face. All she said was NOTHING positive at all. The conversation just kept going on and on about how oily my face is, how terrible my face was, how the pores are clogged because I always wear make up, how blemishes are formed at my face because I love to squeeze my pimples, so many black heads and so many white heads. I was like "debating" half the time with her saying I DO NOT wear make up and I DO NOT squeeze my pimples. I don't seriously! They burst on their own.

So she were giving me all this bad reviews hoping that I would top up some cash to do some I don't know what oxygen machine treatment. Like what the heck?! After the conversation ended, I totally had NO self-esteem at all left in me and all I wanted to do is just to leave the place immediately even without attempting their facial services. Is that how they treat their customer?

It is not like I haven't been to any facial before, I did. And reviews about my oily skin is not what I have heard only yesterday. But they didn't say like as if my face had no hope at all. I was thinking half the time "Man, is my face that horrible at all?! Is it that ugly that no one would even dare to look at it?" But I brush that thoughts off because hey, that must be one of their pushy selling technique. Even if my face was horrible as what, I wouldn't even want to come back to their place anymore.

Facial:-

The facial was normal which consist of Cleansing, Extraction and putting on the Mask. But I felt like they were in a rush when they did the facial on me. The lights were on and the room was bright. They did not put on any nice soothing music but instead they played Chinese New Year songs which I don't even understand nuts. And I could hear loud conversations exchanged between their colleagues. I mean I don't mind them talking but they were just shouting to each other. Other colleagues could just walk into the room when you are doing your facial which basically I felt like were intruding into the privacy I have. All in all, I just don't feel relax. You just don't. I just wanted to get things over done with quickly and leave the place.

The beautician did provide me some good tips on how to take good care of my face with a little discouragement of course by saying again about my face. And I did not know that Hajar who is on the other side of the room could HEAR everything. Like what the heck?! Thank God it's MY bestfriend, so I couldn't care less but what happen if another stranger hear it? They must be thinking that they are doing facial on the ugliest person in the whole wide world.

After the facial, they provided us some nice tea which is I guess that is only good thing about it. But the next day, my colleague CR said my face look nicer and better. But who cares, with this kind of services and treatment, I wouldn't even give a second thought to it.

Frankly, of all beauty treatment that I have been to, Spa by Norfasarie is still the BEST place ever. But they have already moved to a further place away from me, all the way to Changi. I hope they could open another outlet nearby my place. Still, I wouldn't mind travelling for the kind of services and treatment they provide. Shall book an appointment soon with them next month onwards. =)

---

After facial, met up with Bestie Hernie since she wanted to dine at Sinaran so bad. And guess what, I ate rice after so long. Oh man, what a spread! Hehe!

After lunch, we headed to Yew Tee since I wanted to try the new Banana Crunch badly from McDonalds and there you go, my bestfriends accompanied me. I treat them for Ice-cream! Hooray. Hehe!

If you have tasted Durian McFlurry, this taste about the same. It doesn't really taste like Banana but more to like Passionfruit.

And then we had SOD which taste somehow like KOI and I loveeee the both of them.

My Double Froth Green Tea.

Muhammad had his first pay and so he decided to give the family a treat at Sakura. But I know Sakura might be a bit too costly for him to treat especially for his first time pay. So I suggested Hj Maimunah instead which I think is rather reasonable. Rushed down to Geylang the moment I end work to meet up with the family there.

After settling down, we start to order lunch.

The bill came up to a total of 60 bucks if I'm not mistaken, we were all so full and I think the price is still reasonable compared to Sakura buffet. And yes, 2 days with rice. I have stopped eating rice for a long time. Guess I'll gain weight again.

And before I go, I bought this baby at Courts Tampines. Been wanting to buy waffle maker to make waffle for a long time. At the same time, I wanted to get myself a bread toaster for my bread. And so the seller there recommended me this. 3-in-1. Waffle maker, Bread toaster and a Grill. I am so in love with this! Weee.

Till here.

06 Feb 14

Dear Diary,

I've got One Thousand and One things to blog about. Sadly as soon as school started, I don't really have much time left on the computer. Half the time my days are spend going to school and work. And as I'm hitting my year 3 very soon, I have quite a number of assignments to complete.

I know I usually tweet this a lot but frankly, given a choice in life, please do not attempt to work and study part-time altogether. LOL! I know I am not being fair when I'm saying this because I am doing this myself and there are a lot of people out there who is doing just the same. But I am just trying to be honest and just sharing my personal kind of experience.

If you are the kind of person who likes to keep yourself always occupied with things to do. Going to school & working does help a lot because most of the time these two things definitely take up most of your time. But do it at a risk because with school, comes your assignment which dateline you have to meet and fulfil. Subsequently, the EXAMINATIONS. This NEVER fail to give me the shivers, sleepless nights and goosebumps especially when you know your results is out.

I mean it's fun to go to work and school. It makes you feel like a matured adult knowing you can/trying to handle two difficult things in life. But with this, comes greater responsibility and management especially. You have to manage your time very well to divide time between these two. Yes, people who are not working have greater advantages to do well in exams. Because while you are working out there from 8am to 6pm, they can use that timing to do their revision. Imagine having that free time in a week, how many can they do their revision? Compared to you who only have the time to do yours after work.

Honestly, I don't usually do any revision after work because I spend my time after work to do my running and by the time I'm home, get shower etc, I just hit the sack. I left everything to the last minute from revision to assignment. But please DO NOT be like me.

And another obstacle is feeling all sleepy when I am doing my assignment or revision. Even coffee doesn't help now. Guess I develop ;coffee resistance;. But the good thing is, when I start blogging, Facebook-ing and etc. I feel wide awake.

Well, till here people. I'm leaving my 2nd part of my assignment for tomorrow. The eyes can no longer open. Goodnight.

P.S: I was trying to complete my assignment but I fall asleep so here I am blogging to make myself stay awake.

XOXO,
Princess Azie Anni
