*Mini Honeymoon to Langkawi Day 2 & Day 3

Dear Diary,

Langkawi Day 2 - 25th May 2017

Initially our plan was to stay in the hotel room and not do anything - to relax. But I thought how wasted it will be to just sit in the resort room (we could have done a staycation in Singapore instead) and not explore some parts of Langkawi. So, we decided to venture out probably not a lot of places but one or two.

We woke up in the morning at 0700 hours to have breakfast since we booked the hotel together with free breakfast included.

Sidetrack:- My smart husband bought his praying mat, wore Bermuda to Langkawi and didn't bring long pants or kain to do his prayers.

Picture credit. We buggy to the map in number 7 known as the Spice Market Restaurant where all the breakfast are served as well as where the lobby are too. D and my resort room is located near number 15.

The breakfast buffet spread in the resort was superb I would say. The ambience is nice too and we were greeted nicely by the resort staff as well. So the staff checked our room number on their list to confirm our breakfast before letting us in.

Just as well we booked the hotel that has complimentary breakfast because we just cannot imagine to go out & drive out so early in the morning to look for food since everything is quite a distance to walk to. Plus I'm the kind who is always so hungry in the morning - I need my breakfast immediately. Hehe!

That was all the breakfast I had. Hehe! After breakfast, D and I decided to walk back to our room instead of using the buggy service. We wanted to take a look around the resort that we were in. Plus we were too full from breakfast and we are in need to do some exercise. Hehe!

We usually just chill and watch HBO on TV while in our room and about 1200 hours, D and I both headed out for swimming. Hehe! What's the purpose of taking a room with a swimming pool view if we don't swim right? Hehe!

D happily swimming.

Truly miss my henna by Zubhahenna! Love the swimming place too because the water is not too cold. Hehe!

After swimming and washing up, we decided to venture out to the other parts of Langkawi. We couldn't cover much of Langkawi places of interest as we are short of time. So we decided to explore the Cable Car since my colleague told me that I have to try their cable car there.

Picture Credit. It was at least a 50 minutes drive up from our resort to Oriental Village where the Cable Car was located.

Anyway, before the trip, when I google for the cable car in Langkawi, these 'Sky Cab & Sky Bridge' name always come up together and I thought that is what the cable car is called until I was there. Speaking about noobies who travel. Lol!

This map gives a better understanding. The Sky Cab is actually the Cable Car and the Sky Bridge is actually a bridge that is suspended on top of the mountains called Machinchang. razz Which you can choose to go or not go when you're riding the cable car. But of course, apart from the Sky Cab, you need to pay for the Sky Bridge.

So this is the combo package they have. You can buy just pay for the Sky Cab without taking all these combo but I thought, since we are here and going to be here the whole day, might as well do a little bit more. I chose the cheapest & little package - Basic Combo that cost us RM55. Funnily, the staff at the counter ask for my Malaysian pass to get a discount. Ermmm...I look like a Malaysian now?

Both D and my tickets. Yay!

1) Sky Cab Langkawi

The first one was the Sky Cab. Unlike in Singapore where the cable car just go from point A to stop before making a turn back to your original point, this Sky Cab Langkawi has 3 stopping point. 1st is the 'Base Station' - the point where you ride your first cable car, 2nd is your 'Middle Station' and 3rd, is the 'Top Station' where the Sky Bridge is located.

-Base Station

Before riding on the cable car, this is at the 'Base Point'

And slowly heading up to the 'Middle Station'. I am not very good at heights and D is even worse but I truly brave myself that day. Hehehe! We got a cable car cabin together with people from China and sadly, they were making so much noise and not behaving.

Hi. Lol!

All white and misty before heading to the Middle point.

-Middle Station

So basically at every stop, there will be their staff taking your pictures and asking you to buy the cable car souvenir and they really printed it out for you already. I always don't fancy when places of attraction does that. Can you imagine how much damage they do to the environment? Wasting papers and resources if tourist do not want to buy them. Truthfully, I rejected quite a few of souvenirs.

D enjoying the sight up there.

Heading to our last stop and it gets higher and higher.

-Top Station

I decided to get the cable car souvenir here since it was quite practical, a cute keychain of both D and my picture, and I thought it could be of a good use to hang it at my bag. Just that even after 1 month of our honeymoon, the keychain is still hanging at home unhanged. Face with stuck-out tongue and tightly-closed eyes

Since the cable car ride is less thrilling, I wanted to check out the Sky Bridge. It is only at the Top Station you can buy the tickets to the Sky Bridge. To head to the Sky Bridge it's either you walk (FOC) or you can take the Sky Glide (you have to pay). The walking part is a crazy "hiking" up and down, thus D and I decided to just hop on the Sky Glide to save energy & save time. Lol!

We decided to walk around and do some sight seeing at the top station first before heading to the Sky Bridge.

Cooling and beautiful.

D was feeling quite thirsty and so, we chill at the café up here first before continue walking.

This is the other side

Didn't know they had this lock & key thingy here too. I thought it only existed in Korea. Hehe!

And so we are here ready to hop on to the Sky Glide.

The Sky Glide track

Now the Sky Bridge. Hehe! D has been here once before with his family years ago. The moment he stepped onto the bridge, he was feeling afraid because it was high. He kept telling me that the bridge will shake and move but I kept telling him "Yeah rightttt." But yes, the bridge did "shake" a little but not the extend as if it's a vigorous one.

I stunned a little when the bridge "shake". I was feeling afraid too but my will power to walk to the end of the bridge was greater. And I know I had to be the bigger person than D. So I told him that everything will be okay and that I am here for him. LOL! (Drama ke apeeee niiiii.) So yes, in the end, we did it!

We are finally at the end of the bridge.

Now the problem is walking back. Hahahaha! But we wanted to get it over and done with. I'm amazed at how unafraid little kids are. They were running and jumping on the bridge, mind you. My heart couldn't handle. Lol!

They had few patches of transparent glasses like this at the side of the bridge. You have to remove your shoes to stand on it and you can take a picture. This reminded me of the see-through bridge in China! Hahahaha! I wanted to feel daring that I tried. I stepped onto the transparent glass, while D hold my hand on the other side. (I guess he was feeling afraid if his wife were to drop down. Lol!) I took a picture and moved away quickly. HAHAHA! Phew! I survived! There was this kid that took a picture after me, SITTING on it. Oh my gosh! So braveeee, I CANNOT. :zonked:

We were feeling tired by then, so we hopped back on to the Sky Glide and pass back through the 3 cable car station and came back to the Oriental Village. This time we almost got into the same cable car cabin as the China people again but we quickly hopped on and we got the cable car cabin to ourselves. Hehe!

When we were at the Oriental Village, we realized in our Basic Combo we still have other 3 more attractions to go. The SkyRex, SkyDome and the 3D Art Museum. D was feeling tired and wanted to skip the rest but I told him, it is just for experience sake. We had lunch first here before proceeding to the other 3 attractions.

My Virgin Shirley Temple

D had Garlic Bread and Mushroom soup. I LOL-ed so hard because their Garlic bread is literally Garlic + Bread. Heeeeee! And furthermore, D don't eat garlic like that on it's own but he was too hungry, he finished it.

My Fish & Chips. Hehehe! More of Nuggets & Chips but well, I was thankful for food. The weather was truly hot on that day.

2) 3D Art Langkawi

We proceed on to the 3D Art Langkawi since the place was nearby the Café. I didn't know what was the 3D Art Langkawi about. I thought it was some kind of Langkawi Museum until I enter and saw it was almost the same thing in Singapore that is called the Trick Eye Museum which I have been wanting to go but haven't got a chance yet. So mission accomplished here in Langkawi.

These are a few shot we took. Hehe!

Beautiful.

I enjoyed here the most! The place is 3 storey high and it wasn't much of a crowd either. Alhamdulilah!

3) Sky Rex

I was feeling quite nervous because of all the warning sign etc. Don't know what to expect and since it says it was a 4D ride. The ride is almost the same like Transformer ride in Universal Studio Singapore. But this is a story about Dinosaur, something like your Jurassic Park kind. The first few seconds of it was like "Wahhhh!" fun and intense, got water splashed and all but suddenly.....it just ended. LOL! I was like "Eh? Like that only?" Hehehe! But for the amount we paid, of course don't expect much. But we were still thankful for the experience.

4) Sky Dome

Last was the Sky Dome. Okay this, seriously. Don't bother. We were placed in a room that has a rounded shape screen on top. They projected a video like as if we were in space, something like Shrek 4D would turn out to be in Universal Studio Singapore but all it gave me was headache and it was nothing far from that. Thank God we did this last, or else, I don't think we would have venture the rest of the attractions, thinking everything will be this '______' (insert own words)

We ended everything almost at 1730 hours. By then we were feeling really lethargic. D drove back to our resort but before that we stopped at Cenang Mall to buy ourselves a Starbucks drink and dinner at Manhattan Fish to eat in our resort room.

Too tired for bath bomb but I still had to do it because I still have like a lot of bath bomb and bubble bar left. Hurhur!

And again I was feeling unwell, vomited all my food and....
Thank you dearest husband.

So sad that we are going back home tomorrow.  But we have to since the day after is the start of fasting month. Time flies pretty fast when we're enjoying and having fun.

Langkawi Day 3 - 26th May 2017

Feeling slightly sad that today was our last day but there isn't anything much we can do. Hurhur! We really hope we can extend our stay here but well....nevermind.

I had my last bath bomb and bubble bar session while D was sleeping away.

D woke up after half an hour later and we were ready to head down for breakfast. I took a few last pictures here and there.

View outside of our resort room at the 2nd floor.

Staircase leading to the 1st floor.

Our resort room number 25. The place where we always wait for our buggy.

And again breakfast was superb! Unlike some hotel, they actually change the menu from yesterday's. So we didn't get bored of the same food everyday but sadly, the food I wanted which is their mutton curry (super super soft and tender meat) wasn't available today, instead there was fish curry instead. But they win my heart when they had pumpkin chutney instead of potato. So so happy!

My breakfast choices for today,

We came back to our resort room and started packing before resting our own bed while waiting for our time to check out at 1200 hours. The staff actually gave a call to remind us that it is our checking out day today and to check out by 1200 hours. Smirking smiley Yes we know.

So by 1155 hours, we called for buggy services and headed off to the lobby. Thank God we still have our car with us to drive around. We don't have to return the car till 1 hour before our boarding time and our boarding time is at 1800 hours. We had like 5 hours to stay in Langkawi before flying back to Singapore.

I did some research yesterday on places to go since we had that few hours to drive around. I wanted to go to another Langkawi attraction like the Underwater World, the Crocodile farm etc. but I was afraid that we might not have enough time. So D suggested to head down to their shopping centre at CHOGM Park. It was an hour drive from our resort.

I took pictures of Langkawi surrounding along the way when D was driving. Hehehee!

Locals coming back from Friday Prayers.

This is Langkawi Hospital.

We didn't do much shopping at CHOGM since I wasn't left with much RM. Hehehe! But the place is definitely cheaper compared to Cenang Mall. Bought some souvenir back for our families and friends.

Cute Nutella right. Hehehehe!

We still had like 2.5 hours left before our boarding time and we were feeling quite hungry too. I finally thought of this place called the Yellow Café. I have read one of this blogger who went to this café in Langkawi. I navigated the direction for D. Surprisingly, the café is just behind Cenang Mall only. Hehe!

Cenang Mall

Walked the opposite of Cenang Mall and slightly behind, this is where the Yellow Café is.

But the moment we reach here, I was so disappointed that the café are still close and will only open in half an hour's time. I wanted to wait but I was so hungry and they were still preparing and setting up the café which I doubt the food will be served in half an hour's time. So D and I decided to settle down for lunch at Cenang Mall again. Cenang Mall have been our favourite eatery place since Day 1. Lol! If I would have known, I would have had dinner at the Yellow café the day before after coming back from our Cable car trip. But I guess no rezeki.

Back again to Manhattan Fish for lunch,

We bought other food of course but I forgot to take picture. Hehe!

D and I chill and had a heart to heart talk at Manhattan until it was almost nearing to our boarding time. We drove past our resort (have to drive past there also) to bid our final goodbye for an amazing 3 days 2 nights stay.

And here we are back to the airport.

We return back the car back to the rental car company and did our check-in before boarding our flight with Tiger Airways at 1830 hours (they had some flight delay).

Goodbye Langkawi. See you next time, Insyaallah.

XOXO,
Princess Azie Anni
