*Myeongdong + Namdaemun (Day 8) & Itaewon + Gangnam (Day 9)

Dear Diary,

Day 8 - 19th April 2018
Myeongdong + Namdaemun

Today was all about Myeongdong. Yerps! We cater a day just for Myeongdong because there is so many things to do in just this one place. We were off schedule once again. We were supposed to head out earlier but we did not because I was still unwell and needed my rest. But effort though because, I still pulled myself together to complete all the activities written in our itinerary. Hehe!

We headed off to N Seoul Tower in the morning. Actually, there is nothing much for all these Busan and N Seoul Towers. LOL! It's just a view from the top. But well, since it's a 'thing' that people will actually visit in Korea, we all just decided to follow the norm. If you want something similar in Singapore, Ion Orchard has one, and it's called the Ion Sky all the way up to the 55th level.

Making our way to N Seoul Tower.

This was random. We knew so much about this Tayo Tayo bus from Shayleen, my bestfriend's daughter. Hehe!

Stairs and the many stairs up the N Seoul Tower.

D queuing up to buy our cable car tickets.

We finally got our tickets. Yes. We decided not to climb up the stairs to get on top. I would have done it if I wasn't unwell. But with me going breathless once in a while, I guess not. Cable car it is!

View while on the cable car.

Cable car is pretty interesting. It's not like those we've been on in Singapore's or Langkawi's. The cable car is quite big and spacious and they will just squeeze everyone like sardine inside. Lol!

N Seoul Tower. Yassss!

So we exchanged our Klook voucher for the N Seoul Tower ticket.

N Seoul Tower

So these are all basically the view we saw from Seoul Tower but I cannot deny it's beautiful in fact to see things right up from here. We spend like at least an hour here before heading back down to the ground.

SSentoy Museum

D is definitely a fan of Marvel. Thus, I decided to bring him here to have a look on all the showcase of all the Marvel collections. SSentoy Museum is located within N Seoul Tower itself. Although, if you're really not a fan of Marvel, there isn't anything much to see. But well, it was better than nothing of not knowing what to do. Hehe!

Surprisingly there are other characters as well and not limited to just Marvels. Like Frozen! Hehehe! Let it gooooo~ Let it gooooo~

We spent another 45 minutes here before enjoying the beautiful scenery around N Seoul Tower ground.

Bought a souvenir at N Seoul Tower before leaving that place. Hehe!

After which, we headed down to Myeongdong site for some shopping + street food. And I tell you it was heaven! The street food was amazing, especially when mostly are now Halal. So happy we get to enjoy a lot of street food.

This is particularly my favourite. I wanted to eat a lot of it but with my sorethroat and it being oily, I could only afford to eat one. How I wish I wasn't sickkkk. :(

Of course we wished we could eat it all but we were also feeling slightly full by then. Plus we had a show to catch at 5pm in Myeongdong itself. Yay!

The Nanta Cooking Show

Yes, it was once showed in Singapore but I think I went once but I couldn't remember when or if I actually did go or did not? Lol! So anyway, we decided to have the best feel having it watch in Korea itself. I'm glad that I enjoyed the show and so did D. It was an interesting and amazing act but I felt like food was such a waste when they keep throwing it here and there. :( Maybe because I'm the kind who would finish up my food. Lol!

Exchange our Klook voucher with the tickets. Hehe!

No photography allowed, so this is the best picture I captured while in the theatre before the show started.

It was a cooking show afterall and by then we were feeling quite hungry again. We went back to the street of Myeongdong for more street food and of course not forgetting SHOPPING. Here is just amazing to kill 2 birds with 1 stone. FOOD & SHOPPING! Enjoy the pictures of the proof of food & shopping. Hehehe!

All these shopping and walking were making our back ache. Lol! And D was rushing me. Hmpf! You know man & shopping, they don't go well together.  So we decided to do takeaways for dinner instead at Busan Jib, since like I told you, it's the easiest Halal eatery place to access.

Porridge for the sick girl at the comfort of our Airbnb before we both KO.

Day 9 - 20th April 2018
Itaewon + Gangnam / Garosugil

Our schedule became more and more chillax as our day of heading home draws nearer. Hehe! Maybe because we were already tired and cannot wait to go home. Today, we decided to explore Itaewon & Gangnam for some cafe hopping but guess what, in the end we didn't explore Gangnam at all. Lucky, we have already been to Gangnam quite a few times, so we decided to give it a miss. Hahaha!

We had brunch at the all time well-known favourite eatery - Eid.

We reach here at about 12pm and the place was already full house besides Eid wasn't that big to cater many people inside.

Of all things, I dislike to do is waiting. Plus Spring season is ending, thus, the weather is getting hotter with the sun shining down on us. But luckily, there was chair outside and we need not wait that long, probably about 30 minutes before we finally get to go in.

I tried the Samgyetang (Ginseng Chicken Soup) and the Bulgogi.

The food here is definitely so so nice, hands down! I will definitely recommend Yang Good and Eid. But the ONLY ONLY problem is getting here...because of the uphill that you have to climbbbbb. We wanted to eat here again for dinner but the thoughts of climbing up here, we GAVE UP half way. I'm not kidding! D and I even had a little tiff, we were so tired and climbing up the slope, that we literally GAVE UP half-way and came down. Lol!

We spend today all in Itaewon. Visited the mosque in Itaewon,

Exploring Halal food mart in Itaewon,

Bought these tea at the food mart.

Bought Banana & Strawberry milk too. Lol!

And decided to end our night, yerps not in Eid, we wished we could have but our legs couldn't bear the journey. Hahaha! So in the end, we spent it in Holly's Coffee at their roof top. So cooling, so relaxing and we loveeeee their hot chocolate. Yummms!

Oh I did ask the staff there if their cake contains liquor and nope, it doesn't. So we got ourselves Oreo cake as well. Hehehe!

Visited the pharmacy before heading back to our apartment. Throat & cough is getting worseeeee.

And 2 more days before we finally get to head home and will then start missing Korea but honestly, all I want to do is to visit the doctor back in Singapore badly.

XOXO,
Princess Azie Anni
