Grocery shopping

Spotted – Giant, Ten Mile Junction.

Mama & I wanted to check out the new shopping mall, Ten Mile Junction near Bukit Panjang yesterday. Instead of checking out the new mall we end up shopping in the new mall at Giant.

We did some grocery shopping and I managed to take some pictures too. Hehe! Look at our basket, almost half full of things that fall under ‘want’ and not a ‘need’. Mama & I felt that we just wanted something to munch on.

And look at all these fruits; they actually have the fruits cut into smaller pieces of us to sample them. They taste really good! =) I was too busy sampling all the cut fruits that I even forgot to take some of the pictures. HEHE!

I bought this too. The other time, my colleague, Charlotte brought this over to the lab for her lunch and so, I decided to get one for myself too. I wanted to try to see if it’s good since all you have to do is just microwave it and the good thing about it, it’s Halal. Told Mama I wanted to get this one and as usual her first initial respond would be “Is it Halal?” Yes Mama it is! I haven’t tried it out yet but looking at it, it’s quite a small portion yet pricey.

Paid our items and I left my A4 size stack papers at the counter. Poor guy, he had to chase after us for that. “Awak, awak nak tinggalkan barang awak dekat saya ke? Nak kasih saya eh? Boleh juga kalau nak kasih” with that cute yet cheeky smile. Haha! I seriously had no comment after that.

The other day the Boyfriend won another preview ticket to catch ‘The Man on a Ledge’. It was quite a good movie. I was telling my colleague Pia, that the filming was rather a cheap one because they had like only 2 scenes from the movie. On the ledge and this particular building where the diamond was kept. But it was worth the money because the plot and storyline of the movie was good! Compared to another cheap filming like ‘Chronicle’, even though they use quite a number of scenes in the movie, the whole storyline was just pretty horrible. And if you love actions pact movie, don’t bother watching this because the actions only lasted like a few 20 minutes before the movie actually ended.

Yes, I can become a movie critique. ;) I don’t want anyone to catch horrible films seriously especially if you’re paying them. Because most of the time, the Boyfriend always win free tickets to catch movies.

Oh did I mention,

Boyf: Babygirl, I have a surprise for you!
Azie: Are you seriousss?
Boyf: A little something for you.
Azie: And what is it?
Boyf: Tadaaa!
Azie: Lipgloss?!
Boyf:  I know you will love it. You always like to put lipgloss on!
Azie: Yeah right, sample lipgloss. -_-‘ Still thank you.

HAHA! Well, it’s the thought that counts. HEHE!

Till here! I’m going to catch ‘Hantu Dalam Botol Kicap’ for the second time. Sissy bought them from Johor. And I just have to say this, iPhone really do wonders! I love to take pictures sneakily and there you go. =)

Across the borders

I bet my Boyfriend would be the happiest person on earth because I’ve been fed well these few days. He has wanted me to eat more and always label me as ‘kudut’. Trust me, I’m not kudut! And if I’m kudut, I wonder what people after me are called? Like Sissy and etc etc etc, I hope not jerangkung please. 

So well, to those that don’t have my Facebook account and well, to those who has mine, as you all know on Saturday, Mama cooked Chilli crab, Prawn Oatmeal & Nasi Briyani the other day for the whole family and invited Boyfriend & Ressal over for lunch too. Mama is really such a sweet heart! It was a mixture of our cravings. Muhammad wanted Chilli crab; Ayah wanted Nasi Briyani while I wanted Prawn Oatmeal. And the outcome?

It was super tripling marvelously delicious! No words could ever describe this heavenly Mama‘s cooked dishes!

Not forgetting on Sunday, Ressal bought the family Macdonald’s Value Meal for breakfast. I was so full that I even skipped lunch & dinner.

And today’s Monday, I took off just to celebrate the 7^th Anniversary with the Boyfriend. Yes, our Anniversary is on the 14^th but the celebration is always being celebrated on another day to avoid people making fitnah or rather accusation from thinking that we are celebrating Valentine’s Day. Furthermore, my Boyfriend doesn’t really fancy this Valentine’s Day celebration, yes its Haram.

I was talking about buffet with a new colleague of mine, Jie Min the other day. So for this year’s Anniversary, I decided to rampage on buffet at Johor Bahru since it is much cheaper there and both of us are on a tight budget. But this time I pay. It has always been on the Boyfriend every year for 6 years and since this is our first Anniversary that I’m working, I’ll pay. =)

The choice of food is much lesser compared to Hyatt and definitely nothing compared to Carousel in Singapore. Paying for about RM 50 per person (approximately S$25) and with the amount of food that we get to eat, it’s definitely value for money. And we were greeted with super friendly staff that never fail to put a smile on their face, wins it all. Among all the staff, there’s this lady probably around her 50s or 60s, name ‘Melati’, was certainly the best! I was so impressed with her politeness. She kept going to us to clear our plate and recommends us their food like their lamb chop as well as the chicken chop and telling us the difference between Coffee & Cappuccino when we were about to get one. Not that we are not aware of the differences but it was really sweet of her.

And I have this soft spot on certain things like especially when people who are older enough than me that cleans up the mess that I make or people who cleans the place that I’m at. That is the reason why I really cannot eat at hotels or even be a boss one day. Because these people clear my plates, wash the dishes that I ate from! And worst, being a boss means I have to tell or instruct people on what to do and I HATE doing that, bossing people around. 

I even feel like crying each time when I see that happens. =( Because I always feel that human beings, no matter what level you are, you are still the same in God’s eye. Can you imagine? How old am I? And how much older is she than me, but she’s clearing my plate. =( I really feel like telling her that I would want to clear the plate myself but it has a ‘No Entry to unauthorized person' on the door where they placed the plate for washing. 

Yes, I feel so bad that I could still feel it up to now even though I had my lunch like 10 hours ago. I should have given her some tip off but felt like the idea was more like bribery. Feels so guilty! Anyway, the food I had today's buffet,

My first serving – Rice, Briyani Rice, Lemak Cili Padi, Sambal Sotong, Sambal Udang, Kailan and Sweet & Sour Fish.

Second serving – Chicken Patty, Beef Patty, Mushroom, Vegetable Penne Pasta, Dragon fruit chicken, Coleslaw, Gado-Gado with Gado-Gado Sauce & Thousand Island.

Third serving – Spaghetti with Napoleon sauce, dragon fruit chicken, mushroom + Thousand island sauce, potato & broccoli. 

Forth serving – Chicken & Lamb chop

Fifth serving – Desserts. Some cheesecake, honeydew pudding, strawberry cake and I don’t know what the others are called.

The green one is the cheesecake by the way. The yellow is peach if I’m not wrong.

Onion soup. Yucks yes! But apparently it taste nice, goes along super well with the croutons too!

And yes, did I mention I vomited 9 times after lunch?! I’m really such a botch when it comes to buffet seriously. Such wasteful! Left them a feed back form and wrote in a very good words for 'Melati', hopefully her service will be recognized! =)

We headed to City Square after that for a movie, wanted to catch ‘Azura’ but the movie is at 9.30pm. Goodness sake. I have work tomorrow, what time will I reach home like that? And who wants to wait for hours and hours just to catch a movie? So we were left with either English or Malay movies to watch from. English movies are so easy to catch in Singapore, so we decided to catch Malay movies instead. There was only ‘Chantek’ & ‘Hantu Dalam Botol Kicap’ left to watch from. Both looks boring to me but we decided to just settle in for ‘Hantu Dalam Botol Kicap’ since it has some comedy. And well, it was not bad. =)

After the movie, settle in for some Char Kway Salad, which is one of my favourite that is available at City Square. The Boyfriend first time trying it and yes, he loves it. You can really tell it. I did buy some Char Kway salad for the family as well as Cousin Lyna since it’s her favourite too. HEHE! After the fed, we went back home.

Certainly an enjoyable day spent with the Boyfriend today. This is our first time going across borders of Singapore without Parents’ supervision. You have no idea how I kept praying for us to be safe when going and when returning. Ceh ceh! We can go honeymoon already in the future. HAHA! Till here, I’m back to work tomorrow.

I’m still quite disappointed that I didn’t get to watch ‘Azura’. I’m so going to watch it!

Azie: I wish my name was Azura, it’s a nice name. People make songs & movies out of it. So lucky!
Boyf: Hehe! Then I have to call you Azira from now onwards okay? Hehe!

Boyf: But if your name is Azura, instead of calling you Azi, people will call you Azu. HEHEHE!

In Betweeners

I dislike it so much when I’m caught in between two decisions especially if it involves the person I love.

The girlfriends are meeting up tomorrow for lunch and I can’t make it because I will be having family lunch instead. Mom is planning to cook Chili Crab & Prawn Oatmeal for the whole family. Yes, family come first but I don’t usually get to meet the Girlfriends since we are all busy working or schooling and that was the only available slot for us to meet up for the first time this year. =(

And the next upcoming Thursday, is Gf Hanali’s Birthday. She has booked the hotel at Marina Bay Sand and invited us for a swim on that day. I would have to take off on that day but the Boyfriend has won a movie ticket on that day too and I have said ‘Yes’ to him. =(

I was thinking how can I bail on the girlfriends for the second time? I know both sides are understanding enough to let me choose to go to either one but the problem is, I feel even worse when this happens. =(

But if you were to ask me, I would choose to go swimming with the girlfriends. Not that I don’t enjoy going out with the Boyfriend, I do. But I’m in need of the girls’ tender loving care session for now. I miss you girlfriends a lot!

Okay, I better put on my pants now. HAHA! 

Shall catch up on my ‘Point of Entry’ drama and it feel so good not working tomorrow. Enjoy your lunch date dear Girlfriends tomorrow. Been missing you girls a lot! =) We shall meet up another day for another lunch/dinner date. This time I make sure I’m free.

Happy 7th Anniversary!

Received this at work today from the work place management for Valentine's Day.
So sweet right?!

I know people have been talking.

Some people just keep telling me indirectly how stupid I am to hold on to something that it’s not worth holding on. People tell me he’s not worth it. People tell me I’m much better in him in everything or anything I do. In school studies, in curriculum activities, in daily prayers, in sports, in the latest advance gadget or technology and even in playing games like arcades or whatever you name it.

So what if I’m better than him? Is there somewhere written in black & white that whatever in life your other half, particularly the guy have to be better than you?

Love. It’s truly a very complicated thing, word, action and even how one expressed it. I’ll be lying to myself if I say I never yearn like how other girl wants to be treated by their prince charming, like being swept away by their feet with surprises, words of romance, sweet gestures like how princesses get in your fairytale books.

But sometimes I have to knock myself back to reality. I’m not living in fairytales. Lucky you, if you tell me your love life is like a fairytale but in fact love is not always about sunshine & rainbows because as much as how the sky give you the rainbow & sunshine, it’ll still rain no matter what.

In fact, God make each and everyone different and special in our own way. He loves us all equally and gave us different test and obstacles in life. Some are tested to have much better doings in life, like being rich or healthier life but all these is because He wants to see you doing good deeds in return with the money you have or healthier life to always perform your obligation towards His rules & teachings and to help others who is less unfortunate than you.

While others are tested to fail in life, tested to be poor, tested to be sick, tested to be handicap, tested to be with someone that you thought you wouldn’t be with and face difficulties, but that’s not because He doesn’t love us or wants to see us in misfortune but because He wants to see how strong is our love towards Him. He wants us to always keep believing in Him, remember Him, pray and ask to Him. Because it’s true, when in time like this, it’s when we remember Him the most. And I’m sure, He NEVER fails to listen, one day, He will answer your prayers and you’ll get there, Insyaallah.

I have always believed there are always reasons to why God make my other half, him. Insyaallah! I could be with any other guy better besides him but why him? It’s something that even we could not answer ourselves for because Allah has His reason. =) But for one thing I’ve learnt throughout being with him,

We come to love not by finding a perfect person,
 but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly.

And dear, despite what others see in you. You have always seems to be perfect to me. Whatever your imperfections are, I know I do complain most of the time, but what would I do without you? You have been a part of me for so long!

I’m standing right here; right now being whoever I am today is truly due to my family support and not forgetting you too. And yes, I want to be with you and I do want to grow old with you, I want to go through every obstacles, hardships, happiness and joy with you, just everything with you!

I feel like crying. Despite not having the cash for now, he still made an effort to bring me out for some mini celebration for our Anniversary. Yes, it may not be somewhere expensive or outstanding but it is all the thoughts and effort that counts.

He reminded me of my parents! =( Yes, we weren’t brought up in a luxury life, financial has always been our main issue, but not even once my parents forgot our Birthdays, as much as our $$ situation got into our way, they still make an effort to have bring us out for dinner. Yes, not in a restaurant but to a hawker centre or any food court that has good food and that was already good enough, good enough for me, for us. =)

Juicy Couture.

Went for a run with the Boyfriend today and we only ran 1 round! Zzz! I shall make an effort to run more tomorrow. I just couldn’t do it just now, feel so lethargic!

And, my Juicy Couture casing has arrived. This is so love!!! =D The Boyfriend was so sweet to order it for me! He said Juicy Couture suit me because of the Princessy look and apparently, one of the casing he bought for me look exactly like Cousin Nadiah’s casing but I love them both!!!!! I wish I could put on both of the casing but sadly, I can’t. HEHE!

Till here! It’s a 2 of everything and I’m just waiting,

For the clock to strike 12, so that I can wish a Happy 7^th Anni to the Boyfriend. =) Such a loOoOoOoOong way we’ve been through. You guys have no freaking idea what we have gone through. No idea.

And with that no idea concept that you guys have it there, I have no idea what to get for the Boyfriend too. I didn't get him or even plan anything for good because it's on a working day and all I can think of is just me being tired. Lol!

But I’m sure we both have something for each other this upcoming Monday. =)

I love her songs especially the one titled ‘I Will Always Love You’. Who doesn’t?

And it’s one of my most romantic favourite songs ever! I still remember as a kid, I ALWAYS never fail to sing that song whenever I’m bored. It is one of the first English love song I ever memorize because Mama & Ayah never fail to play that song over and over again.

Well even up till now, when I’m bored with nothing to do, I will always catch myself singing her song unknowingly and imitating her voice. HEHE! And recently, through Charice I know more of her songs that I seem to like and kept singing non-stop too, ‘I Have Nothing’ & ‘I Run To You.’

Her songs are seriously the besttttttttt and it just makes me want to sing it over and over again!

I leave this entry with me singing as a tribute to Whitney Houston. ;) Hehe!

Zam Zam Alakazam!

Being sick is never fun!

I just recovered from a consecutive of flu, cough and sore throat. Own! It had me all, I was too tired to work and even the easiest thing like eating and sleeping was a chore to me.

So as soon as I was about to recover, you guys have no idea how happy I was! Came back to work and I just scream at the lab asking “DID YOU GUYS MISS ME?!” even when there was no one around.

Let’s just say I love my job somehow because even a week off from work has enough to make me so restless to come back to work even when I was so sick. Alhamdulilah! Not everyone actually loves their job. Some even use excuses like MC and Annual leave to run away from them. Lol!

But just when I’m about to really recover and be on my toes, I’m infected with UTI again for the 3848939303 times! This is so freaking annoying I swear! I wish I could self-medicate myself but sadly, only doctors can prescribe medicine. They have OTC drug to use but I’m not married yet and I’m NOT sticking anything inside there, NEVER. And the doctors I went to kept giving me creams that did nothing to the recovery of my UTI. Can they just give me pills already?! And don’t tell me that it will destroy my kidney because that only happens when I prolong the usage. Come onnn! We’re both on the medical line, I’m not that stupid.

On a lighter note, had a lunch cum dinner with the family and loved one because the Dad has been craving for Zam Zam’s food. So, I rushed down to Zam Zam restaurant after work with the Boyfriend to meet the rest.

And before heading to Zam Zam restaurant, the Boyfriend and I went around town looking for Juicy Couture’s iPhone cover that I saw the other time or even any Louis Vuitton’s casing (my used to be iPhone 4 casing) =( but it was to no avail. Found one Juicy Couture casing that looks like Cousin Nadiah’s but I want the hard casing one. =( So sadddd!

After dinner, headed for light supper at Coffee Bean, The Rail mall with Boyfriend, Sissy, Brother & Ressal. The Boyfriend & I shared a medium Chocolate Banana together. This was our first time trying that and I’m quite impressed. =)

Oh yes, HAHAHA! Did I mention a bird just poop at the Boyfriend before we head back home? Because while of us were busy getting into the car to get home, he was busy looking at the birds chirping late at night on the trees, and there you go, a little surprise from the chirpy one. Sorry dear, we all couldn’t help but to laugh. LOL!

I was quite surprise though because most of the time, I’ll be the bulls eye target. There hasn’t been any time that I didn’t get poop on when there are flock of birds around but apparently, target changed now. Hehe! And the Boyfriend said, he hopes this doesn’t go like ‘Just My Luck’ movie, when this couple got their luck change on each other. My Boyfriend has such real luck, he keep winning stuff which I don’t. Lol! We shall wait & see if our luck really got switch. HEHE!
