Hana, her boyfriend, Tim & I actually took leave today to look out for the university fair at RP. And the universities are like freaking expensive can?! =( I’m thinking if I were to collect enough money from work and head to further studies, I’m sure by then I don’t know how old would I be to further my studies. Subsequently, if I were to do bank loan, I’m afraid it being risky and I’m not able to find job and pay it back later.
So, the best way is definitely is to work and study part time at the same time, at least the money I get, I could use it to pay my school fees. And I don’t know if this is the Malay mentality or what but seriously, if I were to continue study and work at the same time to pay my education for at least 40K for 4 years, how in the heck would I be able to start collecting money again to get married in the future. HAHA! Come on, I’m not getting younger each day like the ‘Curious Case of Benjamin Button’, this is the ‘Real Case of Azie’! Zzz! I do want to start my own family too. Haiyaz! Everything just keeps narrow down to dilemma and more dilemma when I keep thinking about it.
Anyhoos, while in RP, we kind of explore the whole school again. Lots of things has changed a bit here and there. Like no more Koufu café and it’s being replaced with a new Eco Café? And I always thought W5 to always be a Science block and for Science students but I realized there was Business school students there too. And the best thing, we managed to fulfill our lunch cravings at W4 food court.
This was the first food court that boyf brought me to eat when I wasn’t even studying at RP yet. And prices have really shot up! The first time I ate the Nasi Lemak it was only $1.50 and then $1.80, it became $2.00 and no $2.50. Woah~
And our dessert cravings after lunch! Wee! It’s Chocolate and Cookies & Cream. I wish I could fill waffle instead my stomach but I can’t do it anymore after my Nasi Goreng Ayam.
And while walking, this is really sweet of our P.I to put our FYP poster right outside her lab. Awww, we know she love us the best! HAHAHA!
Poster up close! I bet you people don’t even know what this is all about because we are genius people who did this project. Chiminology. Hehehehe!
After which, we headed for some talk which we thought it was going to be useful, not. Had dinner at Banquet and we headed for a movie, ‘Paranormal Activity 3’
And,
It was not bad I should say. Much better than Paranormal Activity 1 and 2 but Hana & I really have very high tolerance towards horror or scary movies. So, we don’t find it scary and yes, Tim survived! Yayyy!

Sidetrack:-
Before I head to RP, I waited for Hana to leave her house first before leaving mine and while seated down at the living room, I started reminiscing on the days when I was in RP. Whoever in the world starts class or work at 10am every day? I can wake up late by 8.30am everyday and leave house at 9.15am just to reach class! I thought that was still quite early for me last time which is definitely NOT. For instance now, I have to wake up so freaking early to work like 6am in the morning and leave house before 7am. Even so with the privilege last time, I still barely make it just in time in class, with that I had to run with my freaking heavy laptop across the big open field just so I won’t get deducted 0.5 of my grades.
I don’t really give a shit when I had to run like that, I bet sometimes when I run, people started running with me too. Hehe! And I have to agree that RP could be a little bit of challenge for people to study in or even make it through graduation. I see lots of drop outs during my study course at RP. Name it,
1) Different study environment
2) Competitive classmate & teacher’s pet
3) Favouritism facilitator
Not all are favouritism though, sometimes you just happen to see a little bit of those, but face the fact! That is what you see in the working world, the real world! Not all working world are the same for everyone out there and RP is one of them that help to shape you for the real world. You might not see it now but in future, everything will be in place.
1) For example, we might be both doing laboratory work but people working in a hospital have to do 24 hours shift while some other laboratory, they operate from 9-5pm, so their working hours are different, just like how RP study environment is different from those from other polytechnic. Some work might spoon feed you from the beginning to the end, while some work, expect you to know your stuff already. Isn’t the same as RP? They thought you Problem-Based Learning and expect you understand your own learning.
2) Competitive classmate? Boot lickers? Hell yeah! In the working world, it could even be worse! You see competitive colleagues that would go the extra mile just to put you down, so that you won’t get promoted. You see colleagues that suck up to the bigger management and sometimes even accusing you stuff that you didn’t do. And school would usually are just minor that would cause you your grade if your classmate decides to do that, but in the working world, it could cause you your whole job!
3) Favouritism facilitator? You see this everywhere; don’t have to be your facilitator. Sometimes even your friends have favouritism, your family and etc etc etc. And at work, expect to see more favouritism than that of RP.
So if you manage to graduate in RP and do well then I shall say WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD. =) Because that is how RP have taught me to be, it prepared me enough for my working world and I won’t deny that the company find me unique and different from my colleagues.
And if you feel like giving up studying in RP, just hold on because 3 years would be fast, time really flies. I’m sure along the way you would find something more meaningful that would make you love RP for whatever it is. And don’t say that the reason why I’m saying so and so it’s because I’ve done well and have graduated from RP but the fact is, I’ve gone through worse myself in RP but I made it through. Thank you RP. =)
12 days to his return!
